Guidance to managers for evaluating Priority Geographies and Watershed success: the influence of best management practices on stream biota

Overview: This project builds on past and ongoing efforts from MU and MDC that focus on assessing how landscape-stressors and BMPs are linked to stream health with the ultimate objective to provide an approach to assess success of BMPs based on number, type, and placement within a watershed.

Project Objectives:
  1. 1) develop a matrix of known BMP efforts in two individual TW systems
  2. 2) assess potential response of a watershed relative to the type, size, number, and spatial distribution of BMPs, and
  3. 3) provide guidance on determining success
